# Start Route Optimization

POST https://onfleet.com/api/v2/optimizations/:optimizationId:/start

This endpoint is simply used to start the RO after the  [Initialize Standard](https://docs.onfleet.com/reference/initialize-route-optimization)  or [Auto-Dispatch Route Optimization response](https://docs.onfleet.com/reference/initialize-route-optimization-on-demand)  is thoroughly reviewed and an `id` is provided.

This endpoint will only respond with an HTTP 200 and no additional information.
